Flowers to order: new season Spring 2024

Many thanks to all of our lovely customers throughout 2023. We hope to see you again in Spring 2024!

From early April through to October 2023 we created and delivery many fabulous luxury bouquets and gorgeous bunches of flowers to customers in Sutton on Sea, Huttoft, Mumby, and as far afield as Chapel St Leonards, Alford, Mablethorpe and Manby. Sadly, the Owl Garden flower season for 2023 ended in mid-October.

This autumn we are working hard clearing beds and preparing the flower field for the winter, planting hundreds of spring-flowering bulbs, and growing on seedlings of new varieties of flowers to delight us next spring and summer.

We look forward to cutting flowers and creating our fabulous unique bouquets again in Spring 2024, as soon as the first buds appear.

Seasonality and variety

Owl Garden flowers are grown on our smallholding between the Lincolnshire Wolds and the sea. We farm our flowers on a small scale using wildlife-friendly, sustainable methods.

At Owl Garden we grow small quantities of a wide range of flower and foliage varieties providing a changing palette of colour and form throughout the year. To create added interest and texture we use flowers and foliage at all stages of development: buds, mature blooms and seedheads. We also forage seasonal materials from our boundary native hedgerows.

For each order the best blooms are freshly hand-picked and combined to create beautiful, colourful and harmonious bouquets and arrangements that are celebrations of the changing seasons.

We also grow a range of willow varieties, suitable for basketry, living willow sculpture and windbreaks.

Sustainable, bee and wildlife-friendly flower growing

Owl Garden flowers are cultivated using only organic fertiliser and are free from pesticides and herbicides.

Because our flowers are grown and delivered locally they are not refrigerated or chemically treated (unlike many imports sold in supermarkets). This means that they retain their natural fragrance and will continue to grow in the vase. Our flowers' journey from field to vase typically takes 24 hours, maximum.

For packaging, we use biodegradable Kraft paper and tissue, cardboard presentation boxes, and raffia ties.

In floral arrangements, we use willow, moss, twine and tape (never floral foam, which takes up to 100 years to break down in landfill).

We recycle wherever possible. Plastic pots and seedling trays are washed and reused.
